Kitchen Ceiling Light Fixtures – In the light of the kitchen, ceiling provides more even and widely dispersed lighting than a single bulb in the ceiling. You can install a ceiling light in the kitchen without having to do extensive rewiring – just use the existing electrical connection box to which the ceiling light in the kitchen is already connected. Some tools for home use are all you need to complete this project.
Remove the fuse or trip the circuit breaker that supplies power to the electrical line through the kitchen. Turn off the appliances and turn the light switch back to its “off” position. Unscrew the lamp cover with your hand. Remove the lamp cover. Set aside. Remove the bulbs from the light fixture lamp holders. Remove the screws around the lamp. Pull the lamp from the ceiling lamp plate. Remove the torsion pins that are screwed into the pairs of wires coming out of the hole in the ceiling lamp plate. Unravel the wires to separate the wires from the lamp and the electrical connection box inside the hole. Place the light device on one side.
Screw one flange turn the nut to each pair of threads clockwise until a resistance is felt. Screw the ceiling light device onto the ceiling lamp plate with the screws taken from another light fixture. Insert bulb incandescent light bulbs in the ceiling light fixture. Place the hole in the center of the dome through the extrusion screw on the bottom of the dome lamp. Screw the cover of the dome on the screw clockwise until resistance is felt. Restore electric power to the kitchen.
